4. Jean Jacques DORRE was born on 5 Feb 1711 in Obervisse, France and died on 12 Nov 1771 in Varsberg, France at age 60.

Jean Jacques married Marguerite Paulus from Varsberg, a town aproximately 5 miles northeast of Obervisse. Today Obervisse has a population of 120 while Varsberg has a population of approximately 2,500. He became a tailor, innkeeper, and merchant. He evidently moved to Varsberg where the next three to four generations of Dorrs lived. They had six children, the first of whom, Jean Pierre, is in our lineage.

Jean married Marie Marguerite PAULUS on 12 Jan 1734 in Varsburg. Marie was born on 14 Jun 1710 in Varsberg (57, Moselle), France and died in 1766 at age 56.
